1867 OHL, the older of the two parent companies,
is founded in Limburg.

1923

Foundation of the second parent company, Gutermuth, in Frankfurt.

The two companies combine their expertise and more than 100 years of experience in the industry to form OHL Gutermuth Industrial Valves GmbH in Altenstadt.

2000

Graduate engineer Wolfgang Röhrig becomes managing director of OHL Gutermuth Industrial Valves GmbH. In the meantime, Wolfgang Röhrig is 100% managing partner of the company.

2012

As an officially licensed partner of Gazprom, OHL Gutermuth opens an office in Moscow.

2013

Construction of a new production hall with a crane capacity of 30 tons. The hall is used for the assembly and testing of large valves, including cryo and hot gas tests, and is 13 meters high.

2014

The production capacity is expanded through the purchase of new turning-milling centers.
A new test stand for fittings with welding ends
is put into operation –
with a capacity up to 48 “2,500 #.

2017

150th anniversary of the company.

2018

Installation of the first innovative welding robots for armoring.

2021

OHL Gutermuth becomes the most important supplier of special valves in the world’s fastest growing market, China.
