CONTROL DAMPERS WITH CENTRICALLY
MOUNTED DISC
ELL/ELS/GLL/GLS control dampers with a centrically mounted disc are a specific design for smoke- and sulfur-containing gases. The control dampers are equipped as standard with a purge connection. The special version, type EHM, features a lining for high-temperature applications. The flange connection and the face-to-face length can also be designed to customer specifications.

Design features
- Welded body in flanged design or with weld ends.
- The disc is welded and connected to the shaft by means of dowel pins. The disc seats against a body stop strip, achieving a higher level of tightness. The zero position in the closed position is achieved by the disc contacting the stop strips in the body. The stop in the actuator serves as overload protection against the actuator torque.
- The shaft is continuous and supported in externally mounted, maintenance-free plain bearings. The actuator torque is transmitted by means of a parallel key.
- The shaft passage to atmosphere is sealed by an adjustable packing fitted at both shaft ends. The packing material is adapted to the operating conditions. To prevent deposits in the body neck, a purge air connection is fitted as standard below the packing.

- Actuator adaptation to DIN/ISO 5211.
- Version with specially machined body stop strip, with significantly lower leakage, available on request.
