CONTROL DAMPERS WITH CENTRICALLY

DESIGN FEATURES

  • Control butterfly valve with a centrically mounted disc.
  • Body in cast or welded design, depending on the material.
  • The disc, made of cast or forged material, is designed for optimal flow and connected to the drive shaft by means of dowel pins. Depending on the tightness requirements, the disc is either through-seating or rib-seating.
  • The zero position in the closed position is adjusted and limited by a stop in the actuator. Depending on the application conditions, the disc opening angle can be selected up to 90°. For control butterfly valves, the opening angle is preferably 60°–70°, taking into account the flow characteristic and the dynamic torques.
  • In the standard version, the shaft is a two-piece plug-in shaft. Power transmission from the actuator to the shaft is via a parallel key. For higher pressures, a continuous shaft with a suitable shaft-hub connection is also possible.
  • The shaft bearings are maintenance-free, internal plain bearings. The materials are matched to the operating conditions and the shaft material. An additional external bearing supports the forces of the actuator; the associated bearing bracket is the connection point between the butterfly valve and actuator. On request, for dirty media/high temperatures, external bearings on both sides can be provided without internal bearings.
  • The shaft passage from the media chamber to the atmosphere is sealed by an adjustable packing whose material is matched to the operating conditions. Sealing to TA Luft is available. Special versions for additional packing lubrication as well as for sealing gas or intermediate extraction and bearing purging are available.
  • Actuator adaptation to DIN/ISO 5211.
